Enzo Maresca, Manchester City manager, spoke about Omar Marmoush's situation with the Citizens and the possibility of the Egyptian international leaving the English club, amid links to a transfer to Tottenham Hotspur.

Omar Marmoush is reportedly on the verge of leaving Manchester City during the ongoing summer transfer window, with reports suggesting the Egyptian international will sign for Tottenham on loan, with an option to buy for the London club.

Maresca acknowledged during a press conference held earlier that Omar Marmoush will leave Manchester City, and that this is expected to happen soon.

Maresca said about Omar Marmoush in remarks carried by the 'City Extra' network: "I think Omar Marmoush is on the verge of leaving Manchester City. It is true that the deal has not been finalized yet, but we are waiting for it to happen; he will most likely leave."

Omar Marmoush joined Manchester City in January 2025, moving from Eintracht Frankfurt for a fee of 75 million euros.

However, Omar Marmoush has failed to secure a place in Manchester City's starting lineup, given the presence of Erling Haaland.

Tottenham is set to officially announce the signing of Omar Marmoush on loan until the end of the season, with a mandatory purchase clause for the Spurs of 50 million pounds, plus an additional 10 million pounds in add-ons, according to recent reports.
