Reports revealed that Julián Álvarez was absent from the first-team training session of Atlético Madrid due to the crisis he is facing and his desire to move to Barcelona.
Julián Álvarez is considered the biggest headache for all followers of the 2026/2027 transfer market, due to the ongoing battle between Barcelona and Atlético Madrid over him, as Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and Arsenal have also entered the race.
Barcelona wants to sign him to replace the departures of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres, who recently moved to Paris Saint-Germain, as the Blaugrana consider him a top priority in the current transfer window.
However, Atlético Madrid’s stubborn stance has prevented the deal from being completed, having previously confirmed that Álvarez will not be sold to any Spanish club unless an offer of 500 million euros is presented, which is the release clause in the Argentine’s contract.

It reported that Álvarez is going through a difficult period at Atlético Madrid due to his desire to transfer to Barcelona. The Argentine striker was heavily booed on Saturday at the “Wanda Metropolitano” stadium against Villarreal, and tensions remain among Atlético’s fans.
It was reported that the player is going through a tough time; he did not train because he had a bad night and is feeling gastrointestinal discomfort, so he did not train with his teammates.
