Reports have revealed that a player for FC Barcelona’s first football team is close to achieving a new record with the Blaugrana, should he participate in the upcoming matches.
FC Barcelona’s first football team is preparing to face Athletic Bilbao in the 2026/2027 La Liga season.
Barcelona, led by German manager Hansi Flick, will face Athletic Bilbao tomorrow, Thursday, in the postponed first round of La Liga.
The match between Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao will be held at the Spotify Camp Nou stadium at 10:00 PM Cairo and Mecca time.
According to the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Andreas Christensen has reached 99 official appearances for Barcelona and will reach his 100th match if he plays against Athletic Bilbao.
The report noted that the Danish defender has renewed his contract until 2028 and enjoys full confidence from Flick following a good start against Elche.
It was mentioned that his main issue in recent years has been injuries, but he enters the new season aiming to regain his best form and remain fit throughout the season.
