Media personality Ahmed Shobier revealed a pleasant surprise regarding the future of his son, Mostafa Shobier, the goalkeeper of the first football team at Al Ahly, concerning the renewal of his contract.
Al Ahly club is keen to retain Mostafa Shobier for a longer period, especially after his outstanding performance in the World Cup with the Egyptian national team and his status as the first team's starting goalkeeper.
Shobier said in a statement via his radio program this Wednesday morning: "It is rumored that Mostafa Shobier asked Al Ahly club for 100 million pounds as a condition for renewal, while others said 70 million, and others confirmed that he asked for 80 million."
He continued: "For the thousandth time, I repeat, Mostafa Shobier did not ask for a single extra penny beyond the offer presented to him by Al Ahly club, and the player agreed."
He concluded: "And I had said that the matter depended on a very small detail, which seems to have been resolved. You may hear good news today or tomorrow at the latest regarding Mostafa Shobier."
