Reason for the delay in announcing Omar Marmoush's transfer to Tottenham

Via Btolat

Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed the reason behind the lack of an official announcement regarding Tottenham's signing of Egyptian star Omar Marmoush from Manchester City during the current summer transfer window.

Omar Marmoush is preparing to leave Manchester City and join Tottenham on loan, after the two clubs reached an agreement on the deal.

Furthermore, Tottenham announced on Tuesday afternoon that it had secured the services of Brazilian player Savinho from Manchester City, leading some to question why the Marmoush deal has not yet been announced.

Fabrizio Romano responded, saying: "Savinho traveled to London on Saturday and the deal was announced today. It took four days since the agreement reached on Friday night; some deals happen quickly while others take time."

He added: "Marmoush received preliminary approval for his medical examination on Monday following a verbal agreement, but he is still awaiting the exchange of documents between the two clubs. The deal has not been officially completed until now."

He continued: "Therefore, the answer to the question is: Marmoush is waiting, just as you fans are waiting."
