Wael Gomaa said on Al-Ahly TV: "I am not satisfied with the match scenario, but I am pleased with the final result, as the victory is what matters most. I wished we had started the game with better focus and intensity, and hopefully, this will be a lesson for both the technical staff and the players."
He added: "All teams will play defensively and rely on counterattacks. The players should have been aware of what to expect. This is a lesson for the entire team, and the season will be difficult."
He continued: "The chants of Al-Ahly fans made me feel as if I were still playing. I thank Al-Ahly supporters for their stand and support, even when the team was behind. I promise them that both performance and spirit will improve."
