Lautaro Martinez settles his stance on a move to Barcelona

Italian press reports have revealed Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez's stance on a potential move to Barcelona during the current summer transfer window.

The Italian newspaper "La Gazzetta dello Sport" confirmed that Lautaro Martinez is not considering a transfer to Barcelona, as he is fully focused on the start of his season with Inter.

The Argentine striker does not include a move to Barcelona in his plans and has not opened the door to the Blaugrana, while Inter Milan does not want to sell the player, for whom a transfer to Barcelona was not among his ideas.

Meanwhile, the Italian newspaper "TuttoSport" denied that Barcelona has made any official offer to sign Lautaro Martinez, stating that there have been no actual talks between the two clubs yet, and that Inter Milan will reject any official offer and will not enter negotiations, also due to the timing.

Inter Milan considers Lautaro Martinez one of its key pillars and not for sale, despite the fact that Barcelona may try to tempt him with the sporting aspect, the global image, and the historical weight of the team's shirt in individual awards such as the Ballon d'Or.

Spanish journalist Jose Alvarez had reported that Barcelona would do its utmost to sign Lautaro, and it is expected that Inter Milan will negotiate the deal, with the La Liga champion offering less than 100 million euros.

Although Barcelona currently has alternatives, it is working seriously to sign Lautaro Martinez, either with the player or with his agents, and has made initial contacts with the Italian club.

It is worth noting that Lautaro Martinez contributed to the Argentine national team's qualification for the 2026 World Cup final before losing to Spain by a clean sheet.
