The Professional Clubs League announced a change to the schedule of Al Ahly Club’s match against Smouha, scheduled to be played in the Premier League, marking the first adjustment to the competition’s fixtures.
The Professional Clubs League clarified that Al Ahly’s match against Smouha has been set for Thursday, September 3, instead of its previously scheduled date of Tuesday, September 1.
A formal statement from the League read: “The League’s Competitions Committee has decided to change the date of the match between Al Ahly and Smouha in the third round of the first stage of the league, which was originally scheduled for Tuesday, September 1.”
The statement added: “The match has been decided to be held on Thursday, September 3, at Cairo Stadium at 8:00 PM, due to the inability to hold any matches at Cairo Stadium on September 1 and 2.”
The Premier League is set to open the new 2026-2027 season with three matches tomorrow, Friday, starting with Wadi Degla against Zed and ending with Al Zamalek against Al Ittihad Alexandria.
It is worth noting that Al Ahly will kick off its campaign in the new league season next Sunday, facing El Sharqia Enppi at Cairo Stadium in the first round.
