Al Ahly Club announced, on Thursday evening, a new signing during the current summer transfer window to bolster the first football team’s squad for the new sports season.
Al Ahly Club’s management, headed by Mahmoud El-Khatib, succeeded in signing player Mahmoud Salah from Ghazl El Mahalla Club on a five-season contract.
Dr. Essam Sarag El-Din, head of the contracts sector, had completed all financial and administrative procedures in full coordination with Captain Wael Gomaa, the director of football.
Al Ahly’s signing of Mahmoud Salah comes at the request of the team’s technical staff, led by Moroccan Hussein Ammouna, to strengthen the squad ahead of the Egyptian Premier League season.

In a related context, Al Ahly is preparing to face Spanish side Europa on Friday evening during its training camp in Spain, which runs until August 20.
Al Ahly’s match against Europa is the team’s second friendly of the Spain camp, after it won its first friendly against Spanish side Badalona 3-0 through goals from Ali Mahmoud, Oktay Abdullah and Ahmed Mustafa Zizo.
