Scottish club Celtic officially announced signing Haitham Hassan, the Egyptian national team player, coming from Spanish Real Oviedo, during the current summer transfer period.
Celtic said in an official statement earlier: "The club is pleased to announce the signing of the Egyptian international winger Haitham Hassan from Real Oviedo, with a contract extending for four years, with the option to extend for an additional season".
The player is scheduled to wear the number 23 jersey with the Scottish league champion, in his new experience with the team.
Haitham Hassan will not be the only Egyptian who will play in Scotland, as some previous Egyptian players have previously played there with several clubs.
The beginning was with the late Tawfiq Abdullah, the former Zamalek player, who had previously participated with the Scottish team Cowdenbeath, which was participating in the second division in 1923, after coming from English Derby County.
And there are other forgotten ones who were part of Scottish football, after joining several clubs there such as Rangers and others, to be joined by the former Real Oviedo star, seeking to write a new page in his football career.
