Al-Ahly registers Reda Selim in place of Belamri
A source at Al-Ahly Club explained in statements via Yalla Koura: "Reda Selim will be a substitute for Youssef Belamri, and thus the Red Team's foreign players list has been completed."
Al-Ahly's medical staff had announced that the MRI scans Youssef Belamri underwent confirmed he suffered a cruciate ligament tear, while the date for his surgery is currently being determined.
A source at Al-Ahly Club had previously stated in exclusive comments to Yalla Koura that Al-Ahly decided to remove Youssef Belamri's name from the team's squad for the new season.
Al-Ahly's move to register Reda Selim came due to the failure to reach a final agreement with Morocco's Royal Army club, for whom Reda played on loan last season.
In addition, Al-Ahly Club succeeded in finalizing an agreement with Petrojet to secure the signing of Tawfik Mohamed, who plays as a left-back, to compensate for Belamri's injury.
