Qatari club Al-Shamal announced, this Wednesday evening, the departure of Egyptian international Akram Tawfik, the first-team football player, from the team's ranks during the current summer transfer window.
Al-Shamal Club extended its thanks to player Akram Tawfik for the period he spent with the team over the past season, wishing him success and prosperity in his upcoming career.
Akram Tawfik contributed with his teammates at Qatari club Al-Shamal in achieving distinguished results during the past season, in which the team succeeded in securing second place in the Doha Bank Stars League standings for the first time in its history, after a strong contest for the title until the final matchday of the competition.

Akram Tawfik has been linked with a return to Al-Ahly's ranks in the upcoming period, to compensate for the departure of Tunisian international Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane, who transferred to Al-Shamal.
It is worth noting that Akram Tawfik moved to Qatari club Al-Shamal last season on a free transfer after the end of his contract with Al-Ahly, and played 23 matches with Al-Shamal in which he provided 3 assists.
