Media personality Ahmed Shoubir revealed the behind-the-scenes details of the dispute between Zamalek Club and the Brazilian first-team footballer Juan Alvina Bezerra, after the latter failed to attend training until now, insisting on leaving the White Castle.
Shoubir said in statements on his radio program: "I was told by a source inside Zamalek Club regarding Juan Bezerra's situation that we submitted our offer to Shabab Al Ahli Dubai Club concerning the terms for releasing the player, and we received no reply. We tried to contact Bezerra and his father, but they did not respond. They contacted the agent, and the reply was that the player's wish is to move to the Emirati club."
He continued: "Zamalek did not object and requested that Bezerra attend training and negotiate while participating in the sessions. He refused and asked that negotiations take place without him attending. The club's response was a refusal, and they stressed the necessity of the player's attendance for negotiations."

He went on: "The source said we were surprised that they stopped communicating with us and are not replying to our messages. Our reaction was to withdraw the offer we had submitted to Shabab Al Ahli Dubai Club. What was said to me verbatim was (the player comes or he doesn't; no one will twist Zamalek Club's arm, whatever the consequences)."
He added: "The source continued, saying you attack us because we do not operate on principles, but now we are operating according to principles, so why is some people upset? We are working and we do not want anyone to twist the club's arm or put us in a difficult position, whatever the consequences, welcome and easy. Our position is strong."
Shoubir pointed out: "I asked him, is there another offer for the player? He replied no. The registration window closes in Egypt only after 3 days, but the club can release a player after this date normally, because every country has its own registration deadline. For the UAE, the registration window closes on 15-9, a full month after it closes in Egypt. If Bezerra remains determined to leave and Shabab Al Ahli Dubai itself has the longer breath, the matter will be decided in favor of the longer breath."
He concluded: "If Bezerra does not attend, he will put Zamalek in a predicament, and if he comes, when and how will they benefit from him? Zamalek will either start making concessions or insist on its position, and it does not matter to it whether it wins the league or not. I am surprised by those affiliated with Zamalek; they were celebrating the league title and the epic that happened last season. Instead of continuing the celebrations and building on them, problems and crises began."
