Media figure Ahmed Shoubir revealed the truth of what was rumored regarding Zamalek club's intention Zamalek to sell Ahmed Fattouh, left-back of the first football team, after reports claiming a Saudi club's interest in signing him.

Shoubir said in his statements on his radio program: "A Saudi newspaper said that Al-Fateh club is interested in signing Ahmed Fattouh; Fattouh certainly delivered a wonderful performance at the World Cup, and overall Fattouh is one of the wonderful players".

He added: "Zamalek has Mahmoud Bentayg, and Esho after renewing his contract, as well as Ahmed Khodari who played last season and proved himself, but Moataz Jamal, the team's technical director, was deploying Fattouh in more than one position, and the player was also at the peak of his success at the World Cup".

He concluded: "Everything circulating about Ahmed Fattouh is merely journalistic speculation; I am one hundred percent confident that Zamalek will never let Fattouh go—this matter is settled".

It is worth noting that the technical staff of Zamalek's first football team, led by Moataz Jamal, decided to play three friendly matches during the current training camp in preparation for the league, against the teams Plastic, Orange, and Modern Sport.

Zamalek is expected to begin its league campaign with a match against Al-Ittihad of Alexandria on Friday, August 21, at Cairo International Stadium.
