Qatari club Al-Shamal announced its signing of the Tunisian star Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane to join the team starting from the next season, after many negotiations that took place between the two parties in the recent period.
The club confirmed in its statement that the player successfully passed the medical examination, and he is expected to join the team's training in the coming period in preparation for the next season.
The club said in its statement: "Al-Shamal Sports Club announces the signing of the Tunisian international player Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane, to join the first football team of the club starting from the next season".
It added: "Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane possesses high technical capabilities that qualify him to provide a real addition to our club's football team, in addition to the experiences he has after his previous stints with Egyptian club Al-Ahly and Tunisian club Esperance, as well as being a player in the Tunisian national team".
It continued: "Ben Romdhane has successfully passed the medical examinations, and is expected to join the team's training immediately in preparation for the start of the new football season (2026/2027), which will begin on August 20 with the first round of the Doha Bank Stars League".
It concluded: "Al-Shamal plays its first league match on August 21 against Al-Arabi Club within the matches of the first round of the tournament".
Earlier, Al-Ahly Club had announced Ben Romdhane's departure from the team, before Al-Shamal announced today, Sunday, the signing of the player officially.
