The management of Zamalek Club, headed by Hussein Labib, seeks to conclude the contracting file with a sports director during the current period, in order to assume the role as successor to John Edward before the start of the new sports season.
Zamalek had announced last Tuesday its acceptance of the resignation of John Edward, the club's sports director, while expressing thanks to him for the period he spent inside the White Castle, in appreciation of the effort he exerted during his tenure, along with holding a honoring ceremony befitting what he presented to the club.
A source stated in exclusive remarks to Batoulat that Hossam El-Zanati, former head of the competitions committee and current deputy sports director of Danish Nordsjælland, received an offer to assume the position of sports director for Zamalek Club.

He indicated that there are currently talks between Zamalek officials and El-Zanati regarding his assumption of the sports director position during the upcoming period, as the Whites consider El-Zanati their first choice for this role at the present time.
It is noted that Zamalek Club's first football team, led by technical director Moataz Jamal, held its first training session yesterday evening, Saturday, at the club's stadium in the New Capital, as part of the team's camp in preparation for the new season.
