Ahmed Hegazi, the former Neom club defender, announced his retirement from football.
Ahmed Hegazi left the ranks of the Saudi Neom club at the end of the past season.
Hegazi wrote on his account on the social media site X: "Today I announce my retirement from football as a player, not the retirement of my passion and love for it".
He added: "Thank you to football for every moment, every challenge, every lesson, and every memory it made with me".
He concluded: "My journey inside the field has ended, but my journey with football continues, with the same passion, ambition, and determination".
