Zamalek announced in a statement via its official application "Zamlkawy" that it received an official notification from CAF after fulfilling all the requirements for obtaining the license, which was then officially approved for participation in the Champions League for the 2026-2027 season.
The statement explained that the club obtained the license after efforts made by the club's board of directors over the past period to complete all files related to the African license standards, ensuring Zamalek's right to continental participation without any obstacles.
It affirmed that this decision reflects the extent of the club's commitment to all regulations and conditions set by the Confederation of African Football, granting the team the green light to begin its journey in the continental tournament.
It indicated that Zamalek is preparing in the coming period to announce all arrangements for the new season in order to compete for the African Champions League title in the upcoming period.
