After Guardiola.. Ancelotti and Buffon deal a strong blow to the Italian national team

Global press reports have revealed Carlo Ancelotti's stance, coach of the Brazilian national team, on accepting the task of coaching Italy after Paolo Maldini admitted to holding talks with him regarding the vacant technical director position.

Sky Sport journalist "Fabrizio Romano" confirmed that Carlo Ancelotti will not leave his position with the Brazilian national team in the near future.

Carlo Ancelotti plans to stay with the Brazilian national team and continue his career until the 2028 Copa America and the 2030 World Cup, and has no intention of coaching Italy.

Last May, Carlo Ancelotti signed a new contract with the Brazilian national team that extends until the end of the 2030 World Cup.

Alongside Ancelotti, Gianluigi Buffon has also rejected the opportunity to return to the Italian national team, as Maldini offered his former teammate the chance to return to work within the national team system.

Buffon was set to take on a field and practical role within the Italian national team as part of the body responsible for overseeing the national team in all its categories and age groups, and Maldini was keen to include a figure with wide popularity and vast experience with the national team.

Buffon does not see this as the right time to return to the football atmosphere, and the legendary goalkeeper has not held any position since last April when he left his post after failing to qualify for the World Cup, and he continues to spend time with his family and loved ones while continuing his studies in preparation for a future career in coaching or technical management.
