A source inside the Egyptian Football Association revealed the participation of Egypt's youth national team born in 2009, led by Hussein Abdel Latif, in a friendly international tournament in preparation for the FIFA U-17 World Cup competitions.
The U-17 World Cup is scheduled to kick off in Qatar during November 2026.
The draw placed Egypt in Group 1, which will feature fierce competition against Qatar (the host nation), Panama, and Greece.

The source confirmed to Batoulat that the youth team born in 2009 will take part in a friendly tournament in Switzerland at the end of September in preparation for the World Cup.
The Football Association is working to prepare Egypt's youth team well in order to ready it for the 2032 Olympic Games, which is the main objective for this squad, while increasing its international experience so that this team forms the core squad for the next stage.
