Enzo Fernandez comments on Argentina's loss in the World Cup final

Enzo Fernández, the Argentine national team player, commented on their defeat in the final of the FIFA World Cup against Spain on Sunday evening, in the match that saw his expulsion.

MetLife Stadium hosted the World Cup final between Argentina and Spain, where Luis de la Fuente's squad won with a goal without reply.

Argentina was forced to play with only 10 players before entering extra time as a result of Enzo Fernández's expulsion, who received two yellow cards.

Enzo Fernández wrote, via his personal account on Instagram: "You realize with the passage of time that there is something bigger than the result, we succeeded in representing this team in the best possible way over the years".

He went on: "I want to thank all the fans of Argentina, thank you for your continuous support for us in every match, for your love and unconditional support, for making us feel as if we are playing in our homeland wherever we are in the world".

He concluded: "Wearing my country's national team jersey is the greatest honor during my career, I will continue to give everything I have every time I get the opportunity to defend it".
