Press reports revealed that a duo from the first football team of Al Ahly club has entered the list of interests of Saudi Al Ittihad club.
Quoting the Saudi Al-Riyadiyah newspaper, Saudi Al Ittihad club is studying several options to bolster the midfield, having placed two players from Al Ahly's squad.

It added that Al Ittihad placed the Egyptian international duo, Emam Ashour and Marwan Attia, on the list of interests, as the sports administration believes they are capable of strengthening the ranks.
The newspaper indicated that Al Ittihad is awaiting the settlement of the file by Nels Vissink, the technical director, before entering into official negotiations with Al Ahly club.
Marwan Attia played 250 matches, scoring 4 goals and providing 11 assists, and is linked to Al Ahly with a contract until summer 2029, while Emam Ashour scored 53 goals and provided 37 assists in 247 matches, with his contract running until 2028.
