Media figure Ahmed Shoubir revealed the behind-the-scenes details of Al Ahly signing two new deals to bolster the first football team for the upcoming season, clarifying the Red Castle's next destination regarding this file.
Shoubir said in statements via his radio program: "Ben Jedida has officially signed for Al Ahly Club, completed all agreements, and nothing remains except the official announcement of the joining of Sofiane Benjedida, the striker of Maghreb Fes, to Al Ahly Club. I inquired about the player in Morocco, and they all agreed that he is a good player".
He continued: "But when Al Ahly previously signed Reda Slim, he was the top scorer in the Moroccan league; it is true he had not scored many goals, but he was the scorer, and his start with Al Ahly was wonderful, after that things did not go well".

He pointed out: "Al Ahly now possesses Ashraf Ben Sharqi, Youssef Belamri, alongside the new signing Sofiane Benjedida, thus a Moroccan trio in the team, in addition to the technical director who is also Moroccan, Hussein Ammouta".
He stressed: "Benjedida's deal is concluded, and also the deal for player Monsef Beqdar, only some legal procedures remain, therefore Al Ahly will not announce officially at the present time until everything is finished".
He continued: "What remains in Al Ahly Club's deals? Al Ahly now is only thinking of a number 6 player only, and is not considering signing defenders or wingers, because the two new deals can play in the 9 position or on the wings".
He explained: "So when we searched for who plays number 6 in Al Ahly, we asked about Kabaka, they said the player plays in position 8 or 10, and when we asked about Mohamed Ali Ben Ramadan, it was said to us that it is possible to employ him in this position, so who will be employed basically in this position alongside Marwan Attia? It is Ahmed Nabil Koka who dreams of playing in this position".
He concluded: "Al Ahly this season will not repeat the mistake of the past season, people demand many deals and this will not happen, Al Ahly signed Ali Mahmoud, Aktay Abdullah, alongside Monsef Beqdar and Sofiane Benjedida".
