Al-Ahly club officials are sticking to their attempt to obtain the services of the Moroccan striker Soufiane Benjdida, the top scorer of Maghreb Fes team, in order to sign him during the summer transfer window.

The past period witnessed attempts by the "Red Castle" administration to obtain Benjdida's services this summer, in order to bolster the attacking line, at the request of coach Hussein Ammouta.

A source revealed, in exclusive statements to "Yalla Koura", that Al-Ahly is still negotiating with the Maghreb Fes administration to reduce the financial compensation, after the Moroccan club set a sum of 4 million euros to approve the player's sale.

In return, Al-Ahly's offer reached 2.5 million euros, but, according to what the source revealed, the Cairo club intends to submit a new financial offer to convince Maghreb Fes officials to approve the player's sale.

The source pointed to another point, which is Al-Ahly's attempt to pay the deal's value in installments, which the Moroccan club has so far rejected.

The 24-year-old participated in 31 matches during the past season, scoring 20 goals during them, in addition to creating two goals, contributing to his team's crowning as Moroccan League champions.

Al-Ahly's administration had succeeded in concluding two deals during the summer transfer window, by signing Ali Mahmoud and Oktay Abdullah, coming from Enppi Club.

Al-Ahly has also come close to concluding the deal for Algerian professional Monsef Bekkour, player of Dinamo Zagreb team, after agreeing with the Croatian club on the financial details.

Al-Ahly's administration is seeking to conclude another attacking deal, by signing Benjdida, based on the request of Moroccan coach Hussein Ammouta, who stressed the necessity of contracting with the player during the summer transfer window.

"Yalla Koura" learned earlier that Ammouta expressed his insistence on signing Benjdida during the current summer transfer window, as the player is among the priorities of Al-Ahly's new coach before the start of the season.

Al-Ahly enters the new season with its sights set on competing for the league and Egypt Cup titles, in addition to participating in the African Confederation Cup.
