Hossam Abdel Majeed, the defender of Zamalek Club, revealed the completion of the agreement with the Bulgarian club Ludogorets to move to it this summer, confirming that he will not be a bridge to Al-Ahly.
Abdel Majeed decided to start the path of professionalism through the Bulgarian gate by playing for Ludogorets, but only the official announcement of the deal remains.
Hossam Abdel Majeed said in statements via "MBC Egypt" channel: "There are important steps in my path to professionalism, and God willing, they will conclude well."
He added: "There is an agreement with the Bulgarian Ludogorets, but there are final touches and things are going well."
He continued: "Some feel concerned about the move to Bulgaria, but it is an initial step and there will be bigger and higher steps."
He continued: "It is difficult for me to leave Zamalek, but I want to be like Mohamed Salah, and I wished to talk to him about this step, but the circumstances were not available."
When asked about Zamalek fans' fears that Bulgaria would be a "bridge" to move to Al-Ahly, Hossam Abdel Majeed replied: "I heard that I will be a bridge to move to Al-Ahly, this is not true, Al-Ahly is a big club and any player wishes to play for it, but my thinking is about professionalism."
He pointed out: "If I were thinking this way, I would have spent the six months at Zamalek and then moved to Al-Ahly, and I wanted Zamalek to achieve the greatest financial benefit from me."
He continued: "My contract is not the best thing at Zamalek, but I decided to stay so that the club benefits from me."
He concluded: "Al-Ahly is a big club, but I am a different case, and I have been playing with Zamalek since childhood and it has a favor upon me."
