Al Ahly Club has approached finalizing the signing of the Algerian Mounsef Bekkar, striker of Croatian Dinamo Zagreb, during the summer transfer window.

Yalla Koura had previously revealed Al Ahly's negotiations with Mounsef Bekkar.. Read the details from here

A source at Al Ahly told Yalla Koura: "We have approached signing Mounsef Bekkar, after reaching advanced stages in the negotiations".

The source explained: "There are two steps separating Al Ahly from signing Bekkar, as negotiations are ongoing regarding the payment method and the possibility of installments".

The source concluded: "Al Ahly has submitted an offer worth 2.5 million dollars, in addition to a 500 thousand dollar bonus, to Dinamo Zagreb to sign Bekkar".

Al Ahly had expressed interest in signing Bekkar during the past winter transfer window, but the deal was not strongly on the table at the time, whereas now it has become more serious.

The Algerian player joined Dinamo Zagreb in the summer of 2025, coming from New York City in the United States for one million euros, and his current contract runs until June 2028.

Al Ahly is seeking to sign a new striker during the summer transfer window, especially after the departure of Ylisen Kamwish, and the lack of stability regarding the future of Nejc Gradisar with the team.

Al Ahly has in its squad both Mohamed Sherif and Gradisar, who has returned from loan, as strikers for the new season, but their stay remains uncertain so far.
