A source at Al Ahly Club confirmed that the Red Castle administration wants to reduce the salary of Ahmed Sayed Zizo, the wing of the Red Giant.
The 30-year-old player joined the ranks of the Red Giant in the summer of 2025, coming from Zamalek, in a free transfer deal.
Al Ahly wants to reduce Zizo's salary
The source told Yalla Koura: "The football administration at Al Ahly has the desire to reduce Zizo's salary or change its clauses and link a certain amount to contributions."
He continued: "The matter is different from what happened with Trezeguet who received an offer to leave, and was responsive to the idea, but Zizo has not received any offers."
He added: "So far, the football administration is looking for a mechanism for this matter before contacting Zizo and his representatives (the player's father and Nader Shawky)."
He completed: "Sources close to the player denied their knowledge of this matter, and confirmed that the player is continuing with Al Ahly and will not seek to leave, and they will not discuss any file except with Mahmoud El Khatib who attended the contract agreements."
Zizo's contract with the Red Castle continues until the summer of 2030.
