Three Portuguese coaches have entered the calculations of the Zamalek club's board of directors to contract with one of them.
Zamalek is studying contracting with a foreign coach to succeed Moataz Jamal, who concluded the season by crowning the league title and finishing as runners-up in the Confederation.
According to what FilGoal.com learned, the Portuguese trio Pedro Emanuel, Alexandros Santos, and Ricardo Sabinto are among Zamalek's options if they decide to contract with a foreign coach.
Pedro Emanuel's contract recently ended with Saudi club Al-Fayha, and he has extensive experience coaching in the Saudi league with clubs: Al-Taawoun, Al-Nassr, Al-Khaleej, and most recently Al-Fayha.
The coach, whose coaching career includes serving as an assistant coach for Porto club, has previously coached Spanish side Almería and Emirati side Al Ain.
Meanwhile, Alexandre Santos led Royal Army Club to the final of the African Champions League, which they lost to Sundowns, and has previously coached Petro Atlético and Sfaxien.
Zamalek is expected to settle the file of the team's technical director within the next few days.
Meanwhile, Ricardo Sá Pinto has worked as a coach for Sporting Lisbon, Sporting Braga, Vasco da Gama, Saudi Al-Fateh, as well as Moroccan Raja.
